Real Madrid have snapped up young Spanish midfielder Borja Garcia from Cordoba. Garcia made 38 appearances for Cordoba last season in Spain’s Segunda Division, scoring an impressive 17 goals in the process and piquing Real Madrid’s interest. The midfielder started his career at Rayo Vallecano and progressed to the club’s first team in 2010. After one season of first team football with Rayo, he switched to Cordoba, but his stay there has been a short one. At international level, Garcia has won two caps for Spain’s Under-19 side.
