FC Koln striker Lukas Podolski has insisted that no decision has yet been taken about his future and floated the possibility of linking up with Miroslav Klose at Lazio. Sources in Germany had indicated that Podolski is on his way to Arsenal and will join up with Arsene Wenger’s side in the summer for a fee of €13M; the German is said to be set to receive €7M per year in wages at the Emirates Stadium. However, Podolski has denied that a deal is done and dusted with the Gunners and, with Lazio known to hold an interest in his services, has dangled playing with Klose in front of the Rome outfit. “It would be great to play alongside him again” , Podolski told Corriere dello Sport when asked about Klose and Lazio – Podolski previously played with Klose when the pair were at Bayern Munich. “Miro has done good work at Lazio and he is happy in Rome” , said the 26-year-old, indicating he has spoken to his former team-mate. And on his future, Podolski was coy. “There is still no decision on my future” , he insisted. Podolski has found the back of the net 16 times for Koln this season, but despite his efforts, the Billy Goats are still in the thick of a relegation battle in the Bundesliga.
